Winter Shadows

Winter Shadows

First off, Thank you for checking out my new web-site and the addition of my Blog Page.
Earlier this winter I heard about a number of Artists that were doing what was called “A Painting a Day” or Daily Painters”. It’s the practice or discipline of completing a small painting each day.
At first I thought this would be a pretty easy thing to do. I have found it to be a good excercise in being spontaneous in both coming up with a subject each day, but also not getting hung up on detail.
My goal is to launch a new painting every couple of days that will be in the 5×7 to 8×10 size and be priced in the $100-150 price range. The paintings will be sold to the first person to e-mail back. On the Blog page is a place to send me your e-mail in order to be notified when a new painting is launched to the page.
So here I go…….

March came in like a lion and I decided to take advantage of the bright sunlight on the newly fallen snow. These are three trees outside my studio. I really like the colors of shadows on snow. They can range from blues to shades of lavender. This painting Winter Shadows is an 10×8″ and is $150.
